Floating Text
1. Open a new image, 500 x 150, you can use any background color as long as it is not balck or close to it.
2. Chose your text tool and enter some text. You can use any font, size or color for this. Avoid balck however. Click OK. Your text should have marching ants around it.
3. Next go to IMAGE/EFFECTS/CUTOUT. The settings should be: Fill interior with color unchecked, Black shadow color, Opacity 100, Blur 7, Vertical and Horizontal Offset 1. Click OK. Do not unselect the text.
4. Next add the drop shadow. Go to IMAGE/EFFECTS/DROP SHADOW. Set the color to black, Opacity 100, Blur 15, Vertical and Horizontl Offset 5.
5. Now go to SELECTIONS/SELECT NONE.
And Viola! You have floating text :o)
